Meet our newest OSCR360 team member, Ben Peay.
The L-Tron team has returned from a successful trip to the annual Chesapeake Bay Division’s IAI Educational Conference in Gettysburg, PA. L-Tron’s John Dobies and Julianne Pangal attended the 2022 CBD IAI Conference, demo-ing OSCR360 to attendees. Dobies was also given the opportunity to speak as a conference presenter on the final day of the conference.
Captain Kraft of the Ward County Sheriff’s Office has found OSCR360 to be an invaluable resource. As a supervisor, Kraft isn’t always able to make it out to crime scenes in person. Anytime there is a suspicious death or other scene that needs quick overall images, his investigators photograph the scene using OSCR360 and present the case to Captain Kraft back at the office. They have also integrated their close-up photos from criminal cases into the OSCR360 software.
The L-Tron team will attend and sponsor the upcoming Chesapeake Bay Division’s IAI Educational Conference in Gettysburg, PA, from March 23-25, 2022. This year’s educational conference will be held at the Wyndham Gettysburg, where attendees will experience lectures, workshops, discussions, training sessions and networking opportunities.
OSCR360 was recently spotted in the Weatherford, Texas news, following a joint purchase between three of the community’s local criminal justice agencies. Parker County District Attorney’s Office, Parker County Sheriff’s Office, and Weatherford Police Department teamed together to share costs and equipment. This has brought cutting-edge investigative technology to all three agencies. OSCR360 will be used at crime scenes, crash scenes, and in the courtroom to aid in the criminal justice process.
The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office in Arkansas purchased OSCR360 in early 2020. Since then, the system has assisted the department in all different types of cases. Our team recently had the opportunity to touch base with Sergeant Eric Cheatham to hear his feedback on the system. Cheatham, a twenty-year law enforcement veteran, began his career with the Arkansas State Police and currently serves as a Detective in Lawrence County SO’s Criminal Investigations Division.
We have received a number of FAQs from new OSCR users, specifically related to their IT departments. This blog may answer some of your most pressing questions related to downloading the OSCR software & getting your law enforcement department up and running – and ready to use OSCR360.
For Detective Stallings and his team, OSCR360 easily brings them back to the scene, which had previously been difficult to accomplish with still photographs.
Now, they are able to drop OSCR in the middle of a room and, just a few moments later, have an interactive 360-view to revisit and share with others. Detective Stallings also explained that OSCR software features such as automatic GPS point plotting and overlaying floorplans are integral tools that his team appreciates.
