The L-Tron team has returned from a successful visit to the South Carolina Division of the International Association for Identification’s (SC IAI) Spring Conference. The event took place from May 9-11, 2023 at the College of Charleston’s Science and Mathematics Building.
L-Tron will sponsor and attend the upcoming International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Technology Conference at the Salt Palace Convention Center held in Salt Lake City, Utah, May 22-24, 2023. The L-Tron team has attended numerous IACP technology conferences in past years and looks forward to showcasing their 4910LR Driver’s License Reader and OSCR360 for crime and crash scene investigation.
Criminalist Jason Olson was at a conference, in search of a tool that would allow for a demonstrative view of crime scenes, when he was introduced to OSCR360. L-Tron is pleased to announce that it’s OSCR360 Crime and Crash Scene Investigation system has been publicly recognized in the Columbiana news. A NBC’s 21WFMJ broadcast reported that Columbiana County Sheriffs Office (CCSO) in Ohio has been awarded a statewide grant to fund the purchase of two OSCR360 systems, which will be used to expedite and improve the agency’s criminal investigation processes.
Larimer County Sheriff’s Office has been using OSCR360 regularly for just over 2 years since the system was first purchased by the agency’s Investigations Unit. Though LCSO also owns a laser scanner, the Investigations Unit prefers to use OSCR360 as often as possible, since OSCR’s documentation process is much faster. To date, the team has investigated a variety of crime scenes, including sexual assaults, search warrants and suspicious deaths with OSCR360.
L-Tron is pleased to announce another desktop software release for its patented OSCR360 system. OSCR Software update v197 is now live and available to all current OSCR360 users. New OSCR360 systems will already have the update installed upon delivery.
