The L-Tron team will attend the 2024 National Association for School Resource Officers (NASRO) School Safety Conference at the JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort and Spa July 14th and 15th. The full NASRO Conference will run from July 14th through 19th. Julianne Pangal and Ben Peay will represent L-Tron. They will be available to demo and share OSCR360 for school safety, emergency preparedness and response with conference attendees.
The patented OSCR360 System is an emergency pre-planning tool that assists safety teams, school resource officers (SROs), local first responders, and school administrators. OSCR360 provides a detailed virtual walkthrough of the district buildings, creates and organizes school safety plans and procedures, and helps to train school staff, students, faculty and parents for an event or threat. Within OSCR360’s software, users can identify and label points of interest to indicate pertinent details about a school building, such as entryways and exits, medical equipment and security features.
With OSCR360:
- Enable the emergency planning team to virtually tour the campus and create school safety plans.
- Facilitate virtual trainings for emergency responders, school administrators and staff without interrupting the school day.
- Allow first responders to virtually re-visit the campus, building familiarity with campus buildings, environments, and student populations.
- Provide law enforcement and SROs with the tactical advantage needed to facilitate efficient and effective emergency response during high stress situations.
- Share the free viewer so that emergency plans can be shared with stakeholders within the school district and any other necessary parties.
The annual NASRO Conference focuses on training school resource officers (SROs) to enhance school safety, building relationships within the community, and improving the overall SRO programs of districts across the country. With over 30 breakout training sessions offered by experts in the field, several NASRO certification courses, networking events, and vendor exhibits, the conference attracts school safety personnel and resource officers nationwide.
The 2024 NASRO School Safety Conference will feature several keynote presentations and a panel discussion.
Highlights include:
- Officer Ivy Jurgensen will present, “For the Kids,” discussing compassion and patience when working with youth.
- Dr. Bernie James will present, “The Safe Campus in the Era of Behavioral Threat Assessments.”
- The Office of Community-Oriented Policing Services from the U.S. Department of Justice will present, “Recommendations for the Critical Incident Review of the Mass Casualty Incident at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas.”
- A panel discussion about mental health resilience for law enforcement officers and civilians after an unprecedented tragic event is also scheduled to occur.
