L-Tron is pleased to share that OSCR360 has been featured in the Missouri news. KBIA has reported that Columbia Fire Department was awarded a $2,000 grant from MFA Oil to fund the purchase of their OSCR360 Fire Investigation System, which will be used to streamline the department’s investigation processes.
Columbia Fire Department plans to use OSCR360 to document their fire scenes and connect any additional photos, video footage and digital evidence to the scene. Their goal is to increase the efficiency of evidence collection and to improve collaboration with law enforcement and district attorneys.
Though Columbia Fire Department is the first fire department in Missouri to adopt the system, they now join the family of OSCR360 equipped agencies that span the country. This includes customers like FDNY (the Fire Department of NY) and the Philadelphia Fire Department.
As the KBIA article quotes Columbia Fire Marshal Michael Bauer, “It [OSCR360] will make our investigations a little more efficient, provide better documentation, photographic documentation of the scene, and then it will allow us to share the information easier with prosecutors and juries and law enforcement.”
More about OSCR360
OSCR360 excels at capturing, storing and organizing an entire scene with 360-degree images. Then, the system connects other pieces of digital evidence to each specific scene location. Investigators and prosecutors can virtually revisit the scene as often as needed while preparing their case. In the courtroom, OSCR360 presents the facts in a comprehensive virtual walkthrough format, so jurors can see the scene from the investigator’s perspective.
Hundreds of agencies nationwide are using OSCR360 to document, investigate, and prosecute crime, crash, fire, and environmental cases. In addition, school districts and public safety agencies are using OSCR360 to train and plan for emergency scenarios.
