L-Tron is pleased to announce that the patented OSCR360 System has been featured in the Dutchess County news. Mid Hudson News reported that the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office has used funds from a federal grant to purchase three OSCR360 units for local law enforcement agencies. The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office, the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department, and the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department each received an OSCR360 System.

While the primary purpose of the Dutchess County purchase was for major crime scene investigations, OSCR360 is a multipurpose tool that aids in crime and crash investigations, courtroom prosecution, emergency planning, and first responder training.

According to the article, Dutchess County District Attorney Anthony Parisi and his team work collaboratively with local law enforcement agencies. DA Parisi appreciates the use of advanced law enforcement and prosecution technology, like OSCR360, to solve crimes, serve justice, and keep communities safe. In 2022, OSCR360 played an instrumental role in a homicide investigation. The complex crime scene went beyond the victim’s home, and OSCR360 clearly illustrated the trail of evidence from location to location, allowing for jurors to follow along. This ultimately ended in a conviction.

All three Dutchess County police agencies are grateful to District Attorney Parisi and share similar sentiments to those expressed by Town of Poughkeepsie Police Chief Cavaliere:

“[OSCR360] will greatly improve our ability and efficiency in documenting crime scenes. This system will also give us the ability to create virtual floor plans of vulnerable entities, such as schools, so our officers will be better prepared when responding to critical incidents at these locations.”

About OSCR360

For crime scene investigations, OSCR360 captures, stores, and organizes spherical photographs, close-up photographs, and digital evidence from the scene. Investigators and prosecutors can add notes, symbols, maps, and additional digital evidence, creating a detailed virtual walkthrough. In the courtroom, prosecutors can present a realistic view of the scene, allowing jurors to see and understand the intricacies of the scene for themselves, from the perspective of a crime scene investigator.
