Congratulations to the winners of the 2018 InfoTech WNY BETA Awards!
Last week, L-Tron had the opportunity to attend the annual InfoTech WNY BETA Awards. This year’s theme – Man vs. Machine – promised a robot competition and the opportunity to rub shoulders with some of the best tech innovators in western NY.

Unfortunately, due to other exciting events happening at L-Tron, many of our team members were unable to attend the awards dinner. Alex, our resident OSCR Edu-Techie, stepped up to represent the team. With a ticket in one hand and OSCR360 in the other, she took off to Buffalo Riverworks to cheer for the two award categories we were finalists in: Best Emerging Tech Company and Best Use of Digital Marketing.
Alex enjoyed the technology showcase, caught a little bit of the robot competition and enjoyed the happy hour. While exploring the technology showcase, Alex was able to capture the entire event via OSCR360. By simply assembling the camera and sensor tube atop the miniature tripod she carried with her, Alex could capture complete 360° detail at any location within the event space. OSCR even knew exactly where she was in the building via the GPS and cardinal direction meta-data captured by the sensor tube. As she traveled throughout the venue, Alex used OSCR to document the event and our DSLR camera to take close up pictures of the awards, signs, etc. Back at the office, Alex was able to sync the OSCR shots and embed the still shots in as POIs – creating a comprehensive project that she showed to team members who missed out on the action! At 7pm, attendees started to migrate toward the dining room, and Alex found the table adorned with the two placards representing the two awards L-Tron was recognized for. The Machine vs. Man theme continued throughout the entire program as the winning robot assisted the MC in announcing the finalists and BETA awards winners in each category.
