Our Causes
At L-Tron, we believe that it is our responsibility – and privilege – to give back to the our greater community. Regardless of whether our donations are made in the form of our time, talents, or funds, we collectively desire to contribute in meaningful and impactful ways.
One of the most special aspects of each L-Tron giving initiative is that they are predominantly determined based on company-wide input. As team members, we care about the causes that are important to one another and we enjoy supporting one another in this way. Our giving initiatives do tend to evolve a bit from year to year, but we aim to support a variety of public safety organizations, global initiatives and local charities.
Public Safety Organizations
We work alongside law enforcement and public safety agencies on a daily basis and want them to know that we appreciate and value their service. In fact, several of our L-Tron team members are retired law enforcement officers. From hosting forensic photography courses and presenting educational events at regional and national conferences, to providing complimentary 24/7/365 technical support to our public safety clients, we are highly committed to the success and well-being of first responders. We have proudly supported a variety of non-profit organizations over the years, including the Badge of Honor Association, Police Unity Tour, C.O.P.S (Concerns of Police Survivors), Cookies for Cops and Fire Friends, and a local “Books and Bears” program. These organizations spread financial support, emotional support, and kindness to officers, firefighters and their families.
Global Initiatives
PADI AWARE is an international ocean conservation foundation that is near and dear to our hearts. We chose to support PADI AWARE in honor of our former colleague, Jason, who passed away in 2020. Jason was a passionate SCUBA diver and dedicated to protecting vulnerable marine ecosystems through the PADI AWARE organization.
We live in a country where water is plentiful and clean, however, parts of the world do not share this luxury. By partnering with World Concern, we support vulnerable communities in areas prone to drought, such as Kenya, Somalia, Chad, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Laos, and Haiti. Not only does World Concern help to provide clean water to remote villages, they also provide education on sanitation and hygiene practices to help eliminate disease.
L-Tron supports and sponsors educational conferences for global organizations, including the International Association for Identification (the IAI), the International Association of Chiefs of Police (the IACP), and the International Association of Arson Investigators (the IAAI). Our team attends several conferences each year and enjoys sponsoring networking events for conference attendees.
Local Charities and Organizations
Supporting a variety of local charities and organizations allows our team’s personal interests to shine. We proudly stand by the local causes that are brought to our attention by our employees. We have “adopted” local families, donated to food drives, supported local veterans, raised money for animal shelters, volunteered at local schools and community organizations, and supported children’s hospital programs, hospice centers, and cancer support groups.
