We are thrilled to be heading up a charitable book drive for our very own local Golisano Children’s Hospital!
We have teamed up with Usborne Books and More to provide brand-new books for Golisano Children’s Hospital’s Reach Out and Read Program.
The Reach Out and Read program provides new books for children ages 6 months to 5 years old while they are being seen by doctors at Golisano Children’s Hospital.
The goal is to encourage parents to read with their children at home, supporting the development of literacy and good reading habits.
The program does not have a budget and books are supplied only from donations, grants and fundraisers.
According to the head nurse directing the program,
“Our current supply is completely depleted of board books for the youngest patients. We are in desperate need of board books for infants, toddlers and preschoolers.”
The program also welcomes new paperback and hardcover books.
Four Ways to Help

1. Shop specifically for the book drive, purchasing books that will be donated directly to the Reach Out and Read Program. Usborne Books and More will donate books for every purchase made.
*For every purchase made, Usborne will contribute 50% in additional children’s books donations.
2. Shop for your children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends! Usborne Books will donate books to the Reach Out and Read program for every purchase made through the book drive link.

3. Combine #1 and #2 by purchasing books for the Reach Out and Read Program, in addition to books for your personal use.
4. SHARE our book drive link at your place of work, as well as with your friends and family so that they can help!
