The 8th Annual Bivona Child Abuse Summit took place last Thursday and Friday April 20-29th at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center.
This training conference brought together professionals in varying agencies that help and work with children including Law Enforcement, CPS caseworkers and social workers, school counselors, mental health professionals, attorneys, and the medical community.
This conference is held by the Bivona Child Advocacy Center. Before Bivona was founded, children were sharing their experiences in various locations including hospital rooms, police stations and sometimes the location where the abuse occurred. Their mission is to help child abuse victims by connecting appropriate professionals, allowing children to tell their traumatic story only once whenever possible. Learn more here.
During conference training breaks, we were demonstrating the ChildFirst Solution, which streamlines the paperwork and case reporting process for CPS Caseworkers.
