One of our engineers, Trevor DiMarco, recently volunteered in a local classroom full of 5th graders by presenting an engineering lesson to help them with their “Spaghetti Structure/Marshmallow Challenge.”
As part of the classroom’s STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) unit, Trevor’s hands-on lesson explored the importance of the triangle in structure design.
Classroom teacher, Rob DeRose, said, “Trevor’s dynamic and engaging presentation filled the classroom with such excitement and buzz. Afterwards, many of the students were stating that they want to be engineers when they grow up!”
